Cue Ball Positioning

Cue ball positioning is when hitting the cue ball in a certain way in order to have the cue ball stop or land on a specific place on the table. This is done by hitting the cue stick on different parts of the cue ball whether its the top, bottom, left etc. Or by hitting the cue ball at a specific angle for it to land at the area of choice.

Reasons:

Doing this makes it much easier for you to pot the next object ball. Or, this can be done in order to put the cue ball in a position known as a "safety shot" where the opponent won't have a clear shot at any pocket for any object ball.

Types of Spin:

- Top spin

- Back spin

- Side spin (Left or right)
